Day tour to Cinqueterre

I’ll meet you at your hotel in Florence, or in another town in Tuscany, and drive you to Cinque Terre!
Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera, in the Liguria Region, northwest of Italy, and comprises five villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll first stop in Manarola, I’ll show you the Church of San Lorenzo, we’ll walk across the alleys that lead down to the small bay where we’ll catch the ferryboat to Vernazza: with its beautyfull Piazza by the see, flanked with shops, restaurants, and the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antioca started in 1318; after lunch in a typical restaurant we’ll catch the train to the village of Corniglia: on top of a hill in the right center of Cinqueterre with the most beautyful view on the costline, also famous for the homemade gelato; visit to the Church of San Pietro; then, by train again, back to Manarola and drive back to Florence. I am not going to give you a lecture, I will be informative but I won’t overdo with too many dates and names, I will make your visit fun with anecdotes and legends, you will have time to enjoy a typical local meal, a coffee or an ice cream: I know you are here on holiday and your holiday is meant to be enjoyable and fun.
